All About Google Quality Score by Andrew Goodman

Do you use Google Adwords in your online advertising?

Google Quality Score has received both positive and negative
attention.

Note: Quality Score for Google and the search network is a
dynamic metric assigned to each of your keywords. It's calculated
using a variety of factors and measures how relevant your keyword
is to your ad group and to a user's search query. The higher a
keyword's Quality Score, the lower its minimum bid and the better
its ad position. Visit Google Adwords Help Center to learn more.

WebProNews spoke with Andrew Goodman, the Founder and Principal of Page-Zero Media, about Google’s Quality Score.

He explains Google’s perspective of the Quality Score, but he also
talks about the difficulties people experience with it.

Watch this 7-minute video. Very informative.

space to park a Web site, "quick and cheap", just sitting there.
And that is all you ever have, a lonely, unvisited Web site.

SBI! builds a site that works. But that is not "it."

SBI! delivers the success of a thriving business.

No matter who you are or what you want, you can Site Build It!.

How Does SBI! Deliver "It"?

It doesn't.

You read correctly. SBI! does not deliver "it."

There is no such product.

Site Build It! gives you the proven ability to take charge and
"go out and get it."

Here's how...

SBI! assumes you know nothing about building an online business
(and yet, it is invaluable for the advanced Webmaster, too).
It provides everything you need...
    * the process that works - natural, powerful, proven
    and...
    * the complete set of integrated tools - everything you
need to do the process perfectly.

No matter how "new" you may be to the online business world,
after you complete the steps outlined in the day by day
Action Guide...

    * you will have more than just the skills to build a Web site
    * you will have more than a growing online business
    * you will have the "it" you seek.

And you will continue to grow your business and your profits.
Your way... Your control.... Your time....

To explain the who-what-why of SBI! and exactly how it changes
people's lives, we have prepared a 2½ minute "video shortcut"

succeed beyond all others and why nothing in the world exists
like SBI!.

To Your Online Business Success in 2008!

It's time of the year to wish all my friends, business partners
& associates, and my blog readers....

Thanks for your support throughout 2007, and I look forward
to your continued support and encouragement in 2008.

For those of you who have done well in 2007, my heartiest
congratulations to you and hope you'll do even better in the
coming year!

And to those who are less fortunate...May 2008 bring you
better luck and fulfillment!

To Your Online Business Success In 2008!

"What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for
the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every
cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that
every path may lead to peace."
- Agnes M. Pharo

"The universal joy of Christmas is certainly wonderful.
We ring the bells when princes are born, or toll a mournful dirge
when great men pass away. Nations have their red-letter days,
their carnivals and festivals, but once a year and only once, the
whole world stands still to celebrate the advent of a life. Only
Jesus of Nazareth claims this worldwide, undying remembrance.
You cannot cut Christmas out of the calendar, nor out of the
heart of the world."
- Anonymous

Let me take this opportunity to dedicate a song to All Of You...
...."Joy To The World"!
"Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
    Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
    And heaven and nature sing,
    And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!
    Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
    Repeat the sounding joy,
    Repeat the sounding joy,
    Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
    Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
    And makes the nations prove
    The glories of His righteousness,
    And wonders of His love,
    And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love."

Be a happier online marketer in 2008 - New Year's Resolutions

It's time of the year to look back to the past, and more
importantly, forward to the coming new year.

It's also the right time to reflect on the changes we need
to make, resolve them to follow through on changes to your
present.

I've been scratching my head over the past few days to come
up with a list of "New Year's Resolutions" from an online
marketer's perspectives....

Here's is the list:

1. Sell or promote only good products or services from
legitimate companies at fair prices and terms.

2. If you're a network marketer, teaching your downlines
how to build their business should NOT be your main profit
center. You should not allow your followers to lose money
for an extended period if you're serious about gaining
their continued respect as a good leader.

3. Don't hound people.

4. Develop or cultivate a positive attitude toward others
and their accomplishments.

5. Encourage a balanced life of business/work and rest.

6. Communicate honestly and truthfully.

7. Be fair and just in money matters. Avoid greeds.

8. Never forget to create an environment free of harassment.

9. Never depend on friends, family or neighbors for sales.

10. Never let your values slide to make a sale.

11. Refrain from spamming - Spamming has been a defiantly
serious problem, profitable to some but stressful for others.
Email spam, forum spam, social networking spam, blog spam,
etc, just to name a few types.

12. Don't be a "cyber jerk" - I've come across many of them.
More are joining this league now!
Two types of cyber jerks:
-- First type, he usually spends a lot of time surfing the Net
looking for "freebies". Legitimate marketers usually offer
freebies to build their email lists but these jerks, they
"opt in" just for the freebies - they "un-subscribe" from
your list as soon as they have gotten the freebies from you!
-- Second type - like the first type above, he opts in with
an "auto-reply" email address -- his intention is to
"legally" send you HIS OFFER instead of subscribing to
your newsletter!

I want to follow all 12 items above to make myself a happier
marketer. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to make as much
money as I can possibly make online! But on the other hand
I want to have peace of mind in my daily life in order to be
happy.

Don't forget, "Happy Go Lucky" and "Lucky Go Wealthy"!

What do you think?

Blogkits a.k.a. OfferForge - My Review After 3 Months

I've been "toying" with Blogger blogs since May, 2005...
Made lots of lousy mistakes....Some blogs were up at PR3/4
at a time and suddenly dived to "0" or "2" and "3" and
then went up bit and down again....and then up and then down
.....I'm a lousy blogger. But I'm determined to make my newly
started, self-hosted wp blog a better one.

I knew next to nothing about "blog monetization" until I found
my way to MyBlogLog - it was around January 2007, I guess.

There, I took a few recommendations from other bloggers
to try out a few ad networks...
...One of them was Adsense....but not for me 'cos I'd read too
much about "click frauds" and account de-activations. I'm a
fairly heavy user of Google AdWords, so I thought I'd better
not try Adsense yet.

I took Bidvertiser, Auction Ads, Kontera, AdBrite and a couple
less popular ones - I started to learn about monetizing my blogs
in a small way....
Yes, I happily plugged some ads around my blogs....
...After 3 months?
...Nothing happened. Yes, nothing, except for Bidvertiser!

Bidvertiser didn't work out too badly...small earning...enough to
pay a few tiny bills.
What more could I expect - my blogs got just a pathetic amount
of traffic!
I gave up ALL except Bidvertiser by the end of March.

At about the same time I came across the name Blogkits, from
a blog which I can no longer remember its name....
Neh...I wasn't impressed with it at all after a couple of minutes
of reading.

April to July - I was too busy selling some new products.
So no time left for me to look up for other possible alternative
ad networks.

Mid August, 2007...
I stumbled upon André S Clements Blog at MyBlogLog and
came to know that André worked with Blogkits!
This time was different - I put in some serious effort to
research the company background. I went all the way to find
out where did Blogkits come from and who are the guys
behind it!

Wow! Very impressed with what I found out.....I joined!

BlogKits is an affiliate marketing network for bloggers, founded
by Jim Kukral

The name (Blogkits) has recently changed to OfferForge ,
now owned and funded by the Forge Corporation, a marketing
firm which has connections with high-level advertisers such as
eBay, Starbucks, Buy.com, and StubHub, just to name a few.

Blogkits campaigns are mainly CPS and CPA.

Jim Kukral is a veteran online marketer, web-entrepreneur,
speaker and award-winning blogger who focuses on creative
marketing ideas and strategies. (I copied this part from Jim's
profile in his blog). He was formerly (up till March 2007) the
Publisher of ReveNews.

OfferForge is currently headed by Jonathan Miller,
a ReveNews blogger, as well as the Founder and CEO of
Kowabunga Technologies
More about Jonathan Miller.

How OfferForge works:
Presently there are 2 main types of ad campaigns:

First type: "Ad Pools"
Ad Pools - in which advertisers are categorized three groups, of
which a blogger can simply choose one. Ads from advertisers will
be rotated - Choose either text ad or banner ad, or both.

The three groups are:

1. Tech & Internet People - This set of ads work best for blogs
that have a webmaster or tech audience.

2. Non Specific/General Readers - This set of ads work best for
blogs that don’t have a specific niche industry audience
(safest bet).

3. Small Businesses - This set of ads work best for blogs that
have an audience of small business owners or professional
business-to-business readers.

The second type is just to select whichever campaigns within
the system you wish to advertise, deploy the desired creatives,
in text or graphic banners and paste the codes into your blog.
Some of the campaigns are:
    ForexYard Forex Trading
    FreeDebtAssessment.com
    Peapod
    Accuquote
    Bidz.com - Long Form
    Bright Hub Membership Campaign
    Computer Associates
DealMax- FREE $25 Visa gift card
    FreeCreditReport.com
    Mail By Santa
    Maldini Sports Betting
    MyJewelryBox
    Net Quote - Auto Insurance
    Nuance Speech and Imaging Software
Privacy Matters 123 - Free Credit Report and Score
    Qwik Cash Loans
    Slot Machines Mastery
    Trend Micro
    Webfetti
    Winning Lotto Strategies
    Zwinky

The Back Office:
Interface within the affiliate center is quite user-friendly as far
as my personal experience is concerned. However there's the
need to improve on:
--The FAQ's aren't explaining too clearly.
-- The "Payment Info" section is confusing - I don't seem to be
able to figure the nos out correctly (or, is it just me?).
-- After each "deployment" of a campaign creative, there isn't
a "link" for you to go back to where you come from. Must hit
"back" button twice to go back.
-- No creative specially designed to be used for pay-per-click
search engine (example AdWords) advertising. Need that
as soon as possible.

One other problem I got - minor one, perhaps it was caused by
the recent process of integrating Blogkits with OfferForge.
My problem - I still have 4 email notifications of sales left
un-traced. Here are the screenshots:

Final Thought
OfferForge has great potentials for bloggers (especially newbie
bloggers and those who have low-traffic blogs) to make some
decent cash. Personally I'm quite happy with what I've made.
In fact I hardly did anything other than placing some banners
into my blogs! I haven't promoted anything to my lists yet.
I haven't even started any campaign using pay-per-click
search engine marketing (AdWords, YPN, etc)- I plan to do so.
It doesn't have a referral program. If you're interested, click

Free Spam Checker for Email Marketing

Do you check your ezines and email messages for your email
marketing campaigns with a spam checker before actually
sending them out?

Spam is a bigger and bigger problem nowadays. Recently Ralph
Wilson, Paul Myers, and other Net marketing gurus have
written about the problems that spam is causing honest, hard
working Net marketers.

Actually, while spam is the fundamental root of our
problems, the anti-spam measures that large ISPs and
important free e-mail hosts (like Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail)
undertake are what hurts legitimate Net marketers.

Much like tuna nets catch dolphins by mistake, their spam
filters catch us. So the SiteSell SpamCheck Tool is a quick
way for honest marketers to make sure that their e-mails are
less likely to be considered spam by ISPs, by Yahoo! Mail and
Hotmail (which tosses you into their Junk folders) and even
by individual filters set up by an ever-growing number of
recipients around the world.

I've a very good free tool that you can use.....

-----
Here's how it works...

STEP 1: Copy-and-paste your subject, but start your subject
with the word "TEST" (without the quotes, in UPPER CASE) so
that we know this is a test e-mail. (If the subject does NOT
start with TEST, we'll assume it's REAL spam and delete it).
Here's a sample subject...

TESTFlower-Lovers Ezine #007: Peonies for the Yukon

STEP 2: Copy-and-paste the rest of your e-zine and simply
send it, exactly the way you would send it to your
recipient, to...

spamcheck-stanchee@sitesell.net

-OR-

Simply visit this URL and use the online form to spamcheck your e-mail...

http://spamcheck.sitesell.com/stanchee.html

-----

You'll get a report back (in seconds, perhaps a few minutes
if volume is heavy) telling you how good or bad your e-mail
is, from a spam-detector's point of view. You will receive
a full, free report of all corrections that you should make
to your zine, in order to stay out of the junk folders. It
does NOT, of course, actually comment on WHAT you write --
first, it's not that smart. And second, the actual content
is YOUR business! ;-)

This SpamChecker is a feature of the E-zine MailOut tool,
which is one part of the entire system of Site Build It! tools.

For more information about Site Build It!, please see...
