The post-Derek Gehl era of The Internet Marketing Center
(IMC) began immediately after Derek stepped down as CEO
on March 1st, 2009. So, what's next?
As an affiliate, I personally don't see much difference except
that each email I receive from The Internet Marketing Center
is now signed by "The Internet Marketing Center Team"
instead of "Derek Gehl, CEO".
So, business as usual. Nothing to worry about.

Derek is retiring as CEO of the Internet Marketing Center;
"official" retirement date is March 1st, 2009.
Derek and Corey decided back in 2002 that they needed to
create a team of experts that could drive the company forward.
Derek has done such a great job in finding the best of the best
experts and team members in all areas of our company that
this was the perfect time to make the transition.
We did considerable market research and customer surveying
to determine that our brand the Internet Marketing Center is,
by far, our strongest and most well known brand.
It has taken a little longer than Corey and Derek originally
planned but their goal has finally been achieved.
This transition creates a lot more opportunity for our company.

- Derek and Corey decided back in 2002 that they needed to
hire a team of experts that would take IMC and our valued
customers to new levels of success.
Will Derek still be involved at IMC?
- Yes, Derek will still be working on new marketing initiatives.
You might see his name pop up here and there but you will see
communication coming from the Internet Marketing Center
and our team of experts going forward.
What's going to happen with IMC?
- Nothing changes; really the transition opens the door for more
opportunity for IMC.
Do you have a new CEO?
- Yes, around 2 Years ago Derek started the search for the new
CEO and found Andrew (Andy) Morden, an accomplished business
professional. He brings a tremendous number of business connections
and technology partners to the table. Andy really cares about our
customers achieving new levels of success.
Will the New CEO be on salesletters/emails?
- Our goal is to put our experts at the forefront. We will be the
Internet Marketing Center going forward powered by a team
of experts.
Why a team of experts and not just Derek?
- Because Derek does not do any of the actual training, it is our
team of experts who deliver the training and support. We want
our customers to know they are supported by a wide range of
talented people, not just one person.
Who's going to come up with the marketing strategies now?
- Derek will still be a part of our marketing as this is what he
loves doing; he will continue to develop, test and prove the
latest marketing strategies.
Is the company going to shut down?
- Absolutely not, we are at one of the most exciting stages of
our business and we will continue to work very hard to help
the people we care about; you our customer. You will not find
a better company to help you reach your online goals.
Will Derek be doing the IEC interviews?
- He will be doing some of the next few. In fact keep your eyes
open as he will be interviewing some of our own internal experts.
Will Derek be doing any events?
- Derek has reduced his speaking schedule quite a bit but there
is a possibility.
